I believe everyone can act if they can be themselves unapologetically, and live fully in the here and now. No matter who you are or where life takes you, that ability is a gift to possess. I want to help people get there.
Through my knowledge of Classical Text Analysis, Clown Technique and Lee Strasberg's Method Acting Technique, I offer a varied approach to unlocking each students' instrument in their pursuit of truth, and freedom of expression.
What I Offer:
I offer monologue coaching for Shakespearean and contemporary pieces. I have developed a simple system to help guide you towards an audition-ready performance through a fun and exploratory process.
I also offer a more extensive service to help you develop a grouping of complimentary monologues to use professionally or in the conservatory audition process.
Where I Teach:
You can contact me directly for zoom-based coaching sessions or sign up for my more structured lessons via Homeroom.com
"Sophia coached me on two Shakespeare monologues, and I absolutely loved working with her! She shared lots of valuable insight with me that helped me really dig into the text, personalize it, and connect with the characters on a deeper level. Her guidance helped me make lots of great discoveries in our sessions together, and I've been able to apply that guidance to lots of other pieces as well. I would work with her again in a heartbeat, and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a monologue coach!"

"Sophia is a thoughtful and experienced coach who helped add life and value to the piece I was working on in just one session. Her experience makes her a powerful conduit for creativity and her compassionate nature an incredibly patient and understanding coach."
"I got a much deeper sense of the language of the piece I am working on, as well as the values of it. I got a clear path of next steps and a grounding in the physical demands of the piece."
- Jill Evyn (SAG Actor)
Biggest take-away is Shakespeare can be FUN! I learned there's lots of Surprises in his writings. Also going over everything chunk by chunk was definitely my speed and not overwhelming at all
Performing the piece a couple times with insight here and there definitely added genuine affection for the work. (She taught) New ways to approach the work. Connecting past personal stories relating to the piece
